This 1-hour CPD course helps NSW builders strengthen compliance practices by focusing on five primary building elements and the high-frequency defects found in Class 2, 3 and 9c buildings.
Based on the Building Defects Library and NCC 2022, the course provides practical guidance on identifying common defects, understanding key compliance requirements, and applying preventative measures before defects become expensive post-occupation problems.

- The five primary building elements: Waterproofing, Fire Safety, Structure, Building Enclosure, and Services
- How to identify high-frequency defects targeted in proactive compliance audits
- Key NCC 2022 requirements for internal wet-area falls, including Clause F2D4
- The hierarchy of building standards and the principle that the NCC takes precedence where it conflicts with an Australian Standard
- Your statutory obligations under the RAB Act and DBP Act, including duty of care and compliance declarations
